Our Doctors

Patrick Manubay D.V.M.

Born in Louisville Kentucky, Dr. Manubay graduated from Allegheny College with a Bachelors in Science ( BS ) in 1986. He was then granted a fellowship at Case Western Reserve University Medical Department of Pulmonary and Critical care, co-authoring several published papers during his tenure. He retained this position for 6 years during which he also furthered his education at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1992.

Dr. Manubay worked for several years under another seasoned veterinarian prior to striking out on his own. He purchased Center West Animal Hospital in 1998. In 2001 he constructed a new building on the site of the old hospital. He has been in practice for over 25 years now, with special interest in canine reproduction and ACL repair.

He has one German Short-haired Pointer named Siri. Hobbies include riding his motorcycle, playing guitar, and traveling.

Laura LoBuglio D.V.M.

Dr. Laura LoBuglio is a Northeast Ohio native. She attended Miami University, where she majored in biochemistry. She spent 4 years living in the Twin Cities, where she earned her DVM at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.

Although Dr. Laura has spent most of her career at small animal (dogs/cats) practices, she got her professional start as a mixed animal veterinarian where she worked with dogs, cats, cows, goats, sheep, horses, alpacas, buffalo, and more. Dr. Laura loves getting to know patients and helping work with owners and pets to develop care plans that are best for families.

Laura is always working on her family farm outside of work, where she lives with her son (James), two dogs (Rika and Cori), two cats (Big Mama and Lyle), thirteen chickens, and her husband (Peter). Her hobbies include gardening, sewing, and biking.

Our Technicians

Kayleigh Malone, R.V.T

Kayleigh has been at Center West Animal Hospital for just over 6 years and has been in the veterinary field since 2012. She is a graduate of Stautzenberger College, holding an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology.

Previously, Kayleigh worked in Emergency Veterinary Medicine and in a high a volume spay and neuter clinic. She has been an animal lover since she was a little girl and always knew that she would have a career in veterinary medicine.

Kayleigh is always ready to learn something new and lend a helping hand. She has special interest in animal nutrition and reproductive veterinary care. Kayleigh lives with her family in Westlake and has lived there most of her life. She shares her home with her two cats and her papillons. Kayleigh is a member of the Lorain County Kennel Club; and in her spare time, she shows her papillons in AKC Conformation.

Olivia Karr, R.V.T.


Olivia graduated from Tri-C in 2019 and has been part of the CWAH family since then. She is a joy to be around and always pleasant with a constant smile on her face. Olivia is a lover of arts, particularly ceramics. She was published in an art magazine and has award-winning sculptures.


When she is not creating masterpieces, she is spending time with her semi-retired 26-year-old OTTB horse named Cisco aka Bubby, her 9 hens, 2 Alpacas, and her little "Puce", Elliot the Papillion. She also enjoys reading, camping, boating in Marblehead, thrifting, and crafting.


We consider Olivia our interior designer for most of the upgrades happening in the clinic. So if you see any changes happening, just know she is behind it!

Practice Manager

Kim Mahoney-Manubay,

Born in Cleveland Ohio, Kim has spent 24 years in the sales/marketing and client relations field. She has a BA/MBA Summa Cum Laude from Baldwin Wallace University majoring in International Business. Kim is a member of several Honor Societies, Recipient of the YWCA's women of professional excellence award and the Shining Star Award for her many community service efforts.

Kim has a German short-haired pointer name Siri. Hobbies include, reading, volunteering and traveling, but mostly just loving being a mom.

 

Grief and Pet Loss Specialist

Chanda was born in Fairbanks, Alaska, and grew up on a farm surrounded by animals. A licensed Advanced Cosmetologist, Chanda decided to explore another passion in her life when she joined the CWAH team in 2009 as a closing receptionist and helped in the kennel area. In 2012, Chanda become the Inventory Manager eventually moving on to the Front Desk Supervisor in 2016.


She is a Certified Grief Coach through Compassion Understood USA to help clients before, during, and after losing a beloved pet. Chanda is also a Pet Loss Bereavement Specialist through Pet Loss Partners as well as a member of APLB (Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement) and is passionate about helping clients through their grief after losing a pet. She has 3 cats (Miss Bitsy, Evil Alice, and Lucy Lu), a Smooth Coat Fox Terrier (Rhoda), 2 Pit Bulls (Thurston & Eunice Howl), annnnd the Furry Perfection Shaggy Beagle mix...Norman the Amazing Super Hound!


Chanda is an avid TWD fan and has never missed an episode! Other hobbies include reading, coloring, and logic puzzles.
